Aisha Jamila is an American actor who is most well famous for her performances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. She has proven her versatility through 2003 when she has delivered outstanding performances on TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit, 1-8-7, as well as Under the Dome. The role she played as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first one to catch her attention. Her performance in the biographical film All the Way as the women's right activists Fannie Lou Hammer brought her to the attention of the public. Hind was also praised for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show for a fresh season. Recently Hind wrapped filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters that is set to release the mid-year of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj, an Army Scientist, who passed away on March 18 2017. She and her mother Vrinda have both been household workers. Aditya is her older brother who is also an engineer in the merchant navy. Bachchan's elder brother and their mother were co-producers of Dil Ka Rishta. Arya Vidya Mandir was the high school where Bachchan attended when her family relocated to Mumbai. Following her completion of intermediate courses in Jai Hind College, she began her studies at D.G. Ruparel College Matunga was where she was awarded a mark of 90% for her H.S.C. exams. She spent the first five years of her adolescence doing classical dance and studying music. Her favourite study was Zoology. Bachchan was a student of architecture when she won the title of Miss World 1994. The title helped her get into the model industry. She received lucrative positions with PepsiCo Inc. and Vogue magazine and also an ambassador contract with L'Oreal Paris in 2003. Two of the first films she made in her professional career included Aur Pyaar ho Gaya and Iruvar. The two films challenged the traditional model that defined Bollywood films at the time which pushed Bachchan to the forefront of Bollywood's New Bollywood. Bachchan was crowned the king of Bollywood by her heartbreaking performance in the role of Paro, who is a jilted love for the character of Paro in Devdas (2002), one of the most well-known Bollywood films. Devdas also happened to be the very first Bollywood film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. The film received a lot of praise for her role on the screen in Chokher Bali (2003) the dramatic, ad-hoc drama that was based on the Rabindranath Tag novel. The same year, she was chosen as the very first Indian actress to be on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan made an appearance in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice which is a musical and a dance version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. That was when Bachchan added her star-power and beauty to her debut major film in English. She returned to Bollywood was in Dhoom: 2 2006 before she made Provoked A True Story (2006). In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan a frequent co-star, and son of Bollywood great Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that reunited two of India's greatest personalities.
