Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her ability to sprint when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed 2nd in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an agreement with Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she was the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007 beating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She consistently placed within the top three places of every event.
